The Coleman outdoor company is a very well known outfitter with high quality, great value products. I have grown up using their outdoor gear on many hiking and camping trips. For the quality of gear you get, it’s very hard to beat their prices. I was browsing the internet the other day and came across their home page. I had never actually visited their internet site, because their items can be found in any Walmart across the country. I was very impressed with the layout and professionalism of their website.
On the Coleman tents home page, they have seasonal ads for their products right when you enter. I happened across this site in November, so they were advertising Christmas specials and deals. At the top of the home page are links to other partner sites, such as Hodgman waders, Sevylor water sports and Stearns life jackets. Near the bottom of the page are links to Coleman’s featured gear. Also, links to account services are available to track previous orders or to order repair parts.
There are five drop-down menus at the top of the home page that will aid in site navigation. The first is titled ‘Gear.’ This menu provides a comprehensive list of all the categories of gear Coleman provides, from Coleman tents to folding Coleman camping chairs. The second is titled ‘Adventure,’ which allows you to shop based on outdoor activity. The third is titled ‘Trail Guide.’ This menu allows the shopper to check reviews, view product videos and view buyers guides and checklists. The fourth is titled ‘Base Camp,’ which allows the shopper to link with social networking, track orders, view instruction manuals, frequently asked questions, warranty information and product registration, among other possibilities. The last is titled ‘Parts’ and allows the shopper to enter a part number.
The Coleman tents home page was very helpful to me. I have always enjoyed using their high quality gear while enjoying the outdoors and have always appreciated the great prices on their items.
